The quality of online play depends on many things… distance between players, bandwidth speed and consistency, etc.
I think the reason why Xbox Live lags less is because it has more players, and thus you’re more likely to get a good, stable connection with someone nearby.
What I know, the money you pay for XBL has nothing to do with the quality of online play. I think it’s only for keeping up the servers for the community network. When you play some one online, you connect directly to them, there’s no dedicated server.
However, I have played SF4 (PC) against American players with barely any lag, and I live in Sweden.
Anyway, good job with the podcasts!
Gootecks the networks really aren’t different on quality but you were partly right
because PSN is free it doesn’t really matter what connection you have but if your paying for 360 you know you’d want a decent connection
